My name is Thom Tamsma, and since January 2024 I am the proud founder of Thom's Golf Gear . What once started as a hobby in the attic has now become my daily work – and a dream come true.

It all started with buying used golf clubs. I'd refurbish them at home: a good polish, sometimes a new grip, and they were ready for a second life. I soon noticed the high demand for affordable golf equipment, and that gave me the impetus to turn my passion into a career.

I primarily sell used golf clubs—think iron sets, wedges, drivers, woods, and putters—but I now also sell new golf trolleys and golf balls. And of course, the lake balls are still a key part of the shop. I used to fish them out of the water or the woods at the local golf course, then clean them by hand and sell them.

What's always bothered me is the high prices of new golf equipment. They make the sport unattainable for many people – I noticed that myself when I was just starting out. Secondhand was the solution for me: affordable, yet still of good quality. That idea forms the basis of Thom's Golfgear.
